Looking at the timeline of past seasons, every Major usually brings a rotation of CS2 seasons. So, it stands to reason that Season 3 is likely drawing to a close, and Season 4 is just around the corner.
Although Valve hasn't officially announced Season 4 yet, I reckon it'll be soon since the Major just ended. To earn the Season 3 Medal, you just need to win 25 matches in Official Matchmaking Premier Mode during Season 3. You guys might want to check if you've met the requirements.
Every additional 25 wins adds color to a grid on the medal. Winning 125 matches fills it completely with color, but I doubt many people can actually pull that off (Official Matchmaking is pure torture).
The Service Medal permanently records key info and your composite score for the season for future reference.
I really hope that alongside the season update, Valve will also follow up with improvements to matchmaking balance, anti-cheat updates, or maybe drop some new maps for us.
