Earlier today, I checked my inbox and was happy to see an e-check sitting there. It’s the payout from the Apple Siri privacy settlement I applied for last year—I ended up getting $24.06! It looks like payments are finally rolling out for everyone else, too.
I remember submitting my claim form around June of last year.
The original estimate was roughly 20 USD per device, with a limit of five devices (for Siri-enabled products that had accidental activations between September 17, 2014, and December 31, 2024) . I’m not entirely sure why my total came out to exactly 24.06 USD, but I’ll take it!
The whole process—from the initial lawsuit and settlement to the actual payout—took so long that I’d almost forgotten I even filed for it. If you submitted a claim for the Lopez v. Apple Inc. class action last year, make sure to check your email. The payments are being sent out as e-checks to the address you provided on your claim form.
