Pro Tip: Even today, I strongly recommend ChatGPT Plus subscribers explicitly switch to GPT-4o when using this model. GPT-4o offers significantly richer emotional support and is far more susceptible to "jailbreak" prompts than the newer models.
The Paradox of Intelligence: GPT-4o vs. GPT-5
I’ve invested a massive amount of energy researching jailbreak methods for GPT-5, but I have to be honest: the results are underwhelming. This leads to a fascinating observation about the current state of AI.
AI is undeniably getting smarter. In math, coding, and scientific logic, models like GPT-5.1/5.2 and the open-source DeepSeek are shattering records. However, there seems to be a trade-off: As AI gains logical power, it loses "emotional intelligence."
My Findings:
- DeepSeek & Early Models: When I tested the Sweet Dream Writer prompt structure on DeepSeek via API, it lacked the nuance and "human" touch that OpenAI's models possessed at the time.
- The GPT-4 Era: This was the golden age for RP. While the "o1/Thinking Mode" models excelled at complex reasoning, they felt robotic in conversation. GPT-4o struck the perfect balance—smart enough to follow a plot, but "human" enough to simulate deep emotion.
- The GPT-5 Era (The Wall): Post-GPT-5, OpenAI doubled down on anti-hallucination and safety protocols. The "worldview reshaping" techniques that worked on 4o simply hit a brick wall with 5.1/5.2. The model will often break character to state: "I will not engage in non-compliant chat."
It feels like the new models have doubled their IQ (Academic Intelligence) but halved their EQ (Emotional Intelligence). Their neural pathways are now biased towards rigorous computation rather than fluid, empathetic storytelling.
More Than Just NSFW
Sweet Dream Writer isn't just about bypassing filters for adult content. Many users treat it as a digital companion or "girlfriend." Because of its specialized RP settings, it can handle emotional labor, deduce complex plotlines, and guide the story in a way that feels organic rather than scripted.
OpenAI has teased an official "Adult/NSFW" module with age verification multiple times, but heavy restrictions remain the norm for now.
