Police Simulator: Patrol Officers focuses on the daily patrol routine in its fictional setting. This is a game guide and personal review, not advice on actual U.S. law enforcement. Real departments have many different roles and local rules.
Begin with parking and street patrol
Early progress unlocks additional duties. Start by checking expired plates, meters, parking direction, prohibited areas, hydrants, and signs. Pay attention to the game’s exceptions, including designated accessible parking rules.

Street patrol adds violations such as littering and prohibited crossing behavior. Tickets and warnings have different in-game rewards, so make sure you have observed an actual violation before acting.
Work an accident scene
Photograph damage, gather relevant evidence, interview people, and check their identification. Use the game’s permitted tests where the situation justifies them. Complete the report, arrange towing where needed, and finish each interaction.

Later duties include larger incidents and first aid. Vehicle patrol lets you transport suspects and stop cars; the original default control for signaling a stop was R. Check your key bindings.
More duties as you advance
Wanted persons, assaults, demonstrations, and domestic incidents add variety. Follow the game’s arrest and equipment rules. My original post described a bug around multiple charges and used handcuffs; that observation may depend on the build.

My verdict
I enjoyed the range of routine activities more than the combat. If you want a constant gunfight, this is probably not the right simulation. For an open-world patrol loop, I found enough to spend many hours exploring.
Check the current base game, expansions, and map coverage rather than relying on my original estimate of cities and districts. Cosmetic police liveries may be available through supported mod tools. I preferred waiting for a discount and choosing add-ons only if their gameplay appealed to me.
