AI-generated short dramas have become much more visible on video platforms. Their visual quality is improving from barely watchable to reasonably convincing, but lower production costs also make it easy to flood feeds with similar stories.
The industry report cited in my original article describes high output and a very low share of breakout successes. Its figures refer to a particular market and reporting period; they should not be treated as a measurement of all AI dramas worldwide.

What bothers me most is how repetitive much of this material feels. The same faces appear in one story after another, while familiar plots get a cosmetic refresh. Producing more episodes does not automatically create more interesting characters or better writing.
Platforms are beginning to pay more attention to low-quality submissions. My hope is that better tools make room for stronger stories instead of simply making interchangeable content cheaper.
