A Gmail address chosen years ago may no longer be the one you want to use professionally. Google now offers address changes for eligible accounts, though availability is not universal.

Sign into the correct account and open Google Account, Personal info, Email, then Google Account email. The original link is the account-email page; use its HTTPS version when opening it.
If Change Google Account email appears, follow the instructions and choose an available address. If it does not, the option is not currently available for that account. An incognito window can help avoid accidentally selecting another signed-in account.
The old address remains an alternate address and can continue receiving mail. Google currently limits creating a new Gmail address through this feature to once every 12 months and three times total. Review app sign-ins and other account integrations afterward.
The original article used [email protected] as an example of a hard-to-remember address, not a contact invitation. Read Google’s official guide before changing an important account.
